Better Late than Never

Some of my favorite moments from W&L Homecoming 2005:


*Talking to Mandy at Southern Inn, and seeing a picture of her ten month old son, Tucker, who is adorable.

*When the band at Kappa Sig played "Bevery Hills" and "Sweet Home Alabama"

*Looking around at Pi Phi and realizing how good-looking everyone was, and thinking how it put Boston bars to shame!

*Sarah Sturtz's little brother wearing pink pants and a pink tie at winetasting

*This exchange between Erica and me: L: Yes! I get to eat Barbeque today! E: No you don't. You're vegetarian. L: Oh, yeah. Damn it! Well, screw it, not today!! How often do I get Barbeque?

*Walking around town and campus, feeling like I never left. I'll always have a second home in Lex.


*Seeing Andy Folsom at Kroger and having him remember my first and last name-incredible!

*Getting hit on by a cute second-year law student who thought I was an undergrad. Score one for me looking young!

*Realizing that the super-fun 19-year-old girl we were serving liquor to and talking about sex with at Dan and Erica's party was in middle school when we were freshmen at W&L.

*Our group phonecall to Brockway Saturday night.

*Dancing at The Oasis and Erica somehow getting me to like "Golddigger" (this does not mean I endorse Kanye "George Bush doesn't care about black people" West)

*Virginia wine, and lots of it!

*Hearing Dan tell Erica on the phone that he needed her to "cut up the melon and receive my guests." How adorably domestic can you get?

*Sallie's erratic horseshoe toss over the fence.

*The return of Erica's famous impression of Ashanti dancing.

*Hearing the unedited version of that dirty whispering song by the Ying Yang twins for the first time-it is sooooooo bad! And I love it!

*Steak fries at the Palms
